Ascaso is a pretty small village located in Sobrarbe (province of Huesca), that hosts since 2012 what its inhabitants call The World's Smallest Film Festival. During the past days this quiet corner has become a lively outdoor venue. Its five permanent residents with the help of a troop of volunteers have been working hard to make everything ready for this independent film festival's 4th edition that starts on tuesday (25 august) at eight o'clock in the evening.

The 43rd edition of the International Film Festival of Huesca has officially started. During its opening gala it has granted the french director Laurent Cantet with its Luis Buñuel award to acknowledge his career that includes a Palme d'Or in 2008 for his feature The class. After the ceremony his last film Return to Itaca has been projected for the delight of the audience.
Once more Boltaña opens its doors to the world in a new edition (XIII) of Espiello International Festival of Ethnographic Documentary organized by the region of Sobrarbe in collaboration with the Studies Center of the Sobrarbe and with the support of the Provincial Council of Huesca. The festival begins this april the 17th after a week of preliminary activities in which were included the projections of the films Boyhood by Richard Linklater and En tierra extraña by Icíar Bollaín, and will last until the 25th.
