The shooting of the film Análisis de sangre azul by Blanca Torres and Gabriel Velázquez has started this friday the 17th of january.

This feature will be the directional debut of filmmaker and screenwriter Blanca Torres how will direct this first movie in collaboration with director Gabriel Velázquez. They had already worked together in previous projects where Blanca has done scriptwritting and editing in some films of Velázquez like Amateurs, Iceberg or Ärtico. By the way, Ärticohas been selected to be screened in the "Generation" section of the next Berlinale film festival, in february.

Yesterday the Teatro Principal of San Sebastian has been the venue of the fifth and last projection, in this week dedicated to films, of the documentary El Rey de Canfranc. This french-spanish co-production directed by Manuel Priede and José Antonio Blanco, tells us the life of Alberto Le Lay during a terrible period of the spanish and european history. The year is 1940. Located in the Huesca's Pyrenees, Canfranc and its railway station are a strategic crossing point. Tons of supplies going to Germany are moved there. Alberto Le Lay, a french custom officer, decides to take advantage of his position to help the resistance. He's soon discovered and forced to flee.

Palmeras en la nieve, the book from spanish writer Luz Gabás, is definitely going to be taken to the screens. That was confirmed yesterday in the San Sebastián ilm Festival. The project has been presented in a press conference held by the director Fernando González Molina, Luz Gabás herself, the producer Mercedes Gamero from Atresmedia Cine and by the actor Mario Casas who's going to play the role of Kilian, one of the main characters in the novel. Some footage from the screen tests has been shown as an advance of the future movie.
