The small pyrenaic city of Boltaña, in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Huesca and the region of Sobrarbe, has been organizing for many years his Festival of Etnografic Documentary Espiello. Despite of not being the only one, neither the older, it's a really nice festival with an interesting programme in an unique environment

Its XIIth edition will take place from april the 4th to 12th. The heart of the programme is the competition section for which many projections of international works will be held during the week, some of them with the presence of the director.

This year the festival also organizes a seminar about etnographic film with the participation of the peruvian documentary maker Javier Corcuera.

This edition will count with the presence of the etno-musicologist and sephardic oral tradition researcher, Susana Weich-Shahak whom the festival has decided to honour and reward with the Siñal d'Onor for her work and career.

Finally, we must mention that the festival offers a programme that is specially dedicated to children and in which a special recognition is made this year to the audiovisual project of scolar literacy in aragonese language La clica del Cinca-Cinqueta.
