Boltaña, in the Pyrenees of Huesca will be this days one of the venues of the 14th Huesca's Festival of Films Directed by Women. The projections and activities will be shared by this little city in the mountains from march the 13th to 16th, the city of Huesca from march the 17th to 23rd, and also with Sariñena and Bujaraloz. Therefore the festival will take place in different landscapes of the province: the Pyrenees, the Hoya and the Monegros.
The festival includes a programme of international features and documentaries, a selection of short films including the special sections Cortos en Femenino (shorts in feminine) and Vídeo del Minuto (video of the minute). The festival gives a special place to aragonese filmmakers in which we'll be able to watch the work of seven women.
Around the projections the festival offers a range of activities like theatre pieces, music, workshops and exhibitions. This year we can outline a tribute to the french filmmaker Alice Guy, pionneer of the beginings of film history, and whose work we'll have the opportunity to discover.
